FAQ
Basics
Who are you guys?
We're four geeks in San Francisco and Seattle with cool backgrounds at Google, Yahoo, Microsoft. Needless to say, we're huge Apple fans. Other than that, we're your typical Silicon Valley devs slash hipsters with a stack of PHP/Ruby/iPhone programming books, piles of soda cans and a passion for pixel perfect design. Feel free to
hit us up if you want to say Hi - (the mail goes straight to our iPhones).
Who's funding this?
For now, rent-paying girlfriends, food-buying parents, people who bought our used stuff on Craigslist and the good folks at Visa and Amex. If you're a well connected investor who loves the concept and wants to partner up,
drop us a line and we'll give you the scoop.
Any connection to Apple?
No, Cupidtino, Anyalabs, Inc. or any of its subsidiaries is neither affiliated with, nor endorsed by Apple, Inc. in any way. Cupidtino is an independent service by passionate fans of Apple products.
Whose idea was this anyway?
It basically resulted from a fight one of us had with his girlfriend over whether the iPad is allowed at the dinner table. Boyfriend storms off saying "I'd rather date someone who loves Apple products!" and BAM! - Cupidtino was born. (they're still dating, btw)

Site Features
How private is my Cupidtino profile?
Your profile is public by default, which means anyone can see it - even if they're not Cupidtino members. We give you an easy set of options to hide it from non-members, or hide it from everyone. We're continuing to monitor feedback related to privacy and will move FAST to make any changes that are needed to make people feel safe here.
Hey, where's the iPhone app?
It should be available in early September. We're just finishing off beta testing and a few last remaining bugs.
Fees
Can you explain who needs to pay to do what?
Sure.
Remember:
Sending messages is free.
Reading them requires a paid membership ($4.79/month).
If someone replies to your message, you can then read or reply messages in that conversation even if you're not a paying member.
Let's walk through an example
Joe and Susan are both new members with free memberships.
Joe writes Susan an introductory message. This is free - Joe does not need a paid membership to contact people.
Susan sees that she has a new message from someone.
To find out who it's from and read Joe's message she decides to pay for the monthly membership.
After paying, Susan replies to Joe's message (as well as any other messages she has received).
Joe can find this message in his "Sent Items", and read/reply for free since it's part of an existing conversation.
Note: Joe can only read the specific conversation Susan replied to. If Susan creates a brand new message, Joe won't be able to read it unless he becomes a paid subscriber.
How do I cancel a paid membership?
You can cancel your membership at any time from within your PayPal account.
- Login to your PayPal account.
- Select Profile > More Options.
- Under the Financial Information column, click on Recurring Payments.
- Locate CUPIDTINO and click View Details.
- Cancel the recurring payment.
We can also do this for you. Contact us with your email address and name and we'll take care of it.
Reporting Abuse
Someone sent me a nasty email or picture
Somewhere next to every email and picture is a "Report Abuse" link. Use that to tell us about the person and we'll boot them off the site quickly (assuming they did something wrong).
